Rhino Aesthetics Without Operation

Many persons used to tell me that they have been afraid of rhinoplasty and accordingly have been wishing small changes without a major change of the nose shape. I could not meet these demands earlier.

There came many innovations applicable on rhinoplasty thanks to the technological advances. We started to use particularly the distinguishing progresses in toxin, filling and endolift for nose aesthetics. Now I can recommend methods without an operation. However, still, I clearly express that one should not compare the results of a classic rhinoplasty operation with the results of these new methods.

Toxin Application: It is applicable for the limited problems. If the tip of the nose falls down during laughing generating a fallen tip situation, such persons’ nose arc seems bigger than normal due to such cause. It is favorable in case extensions happen in the wings of the nose during the laughing.

Toxin application takes 5 minutes. Toxin injection is effective for 4-6 months. Since the fall down and extension of the nose is prevented, the narrowing and rise of the nose will be obtained. The individual may continue her/his daily life just after the application.

Filling Application: Filling the spaces of the noses with some visible arcs provides a small enlargement of the nose making the arc less visible. It is a very good method for the persons who are anxious about the surgical operation and desiring a slight change of the nose without a recovery period. It is about a 10 minutes practice applied after a sedative cream application for the asymmetrical noses.

My preference of filling material is hyaluronic acid that has FDA approval. Its effects continue for 6-12 months. The patient may turn to his/her daily life on the same day.

Rhinoplasty (Nose Aesthetics) with Endolift: It is a procedure taking 20-30 minutes under local anesthesia without making any change to the cartilage and bone structure. This method provides permanent nose tip narrowing, nose wings narrowing and nose tip lifting.

If the persons with big nose arcs and horizontally extending nasal structures desire definite changes, I prefer classic rhinoplasty. The permanent ropes are placed under the skin with a special method requiring no incision. These very soft materials may not be felt under the skin. There comes a swollen spot on the nose after the application which will last 2-3 days. I place bandage on the swollen area for to have quicker recovery. The person may turn to its daily life after three days when the bandage is removed. No buffer is placed since no work is performed within the nose and the person has no breathing problems. The tiny shells on the need entrance spots disappear in this time.

This method does not prevent the persons for considering classic rhinoplasty in future. However, persons are happy knowing that these subcutaneous materials may be taken out by a procedure in a couple of minutes and the former shape may be obtained.

Minirhinoplasty:In case the problem is a slight projection of nasal arc or a big cartilage at the nose tip, a small incision may be performed into the nose for bone cutting or cartilage shortening. Sometimes endolift is added to this application for narrowing of other certain parts of internal nose. A bandage is put for 5-7 days after the operation; however no plaster shall be used. This procedure takes 30 minutes under the local anesthesia. Swollen zone recovers and the shape settles in a short time about a month.

We do not have the chance to hide our nose which is in the middle of our face but now we have solutions other than the classic rhinoplasty (provided the shape of our nose is suitable for these methods).
