Fibrogel – Fibrotherapy(Vaccine Of Youth)
The most worn out and always in fore plan organ whilst our ageing years is the skin of our face. The face lines that happen to exist in time become apparent with the skin becoming thinner and particularly due to lessening of subcutaneous collagen and elastin fibres. Collagen is the basic tissue of our skin and it shapes and supports the same.
This protein, which keeps the skin healthy and fresh, is synthesized by the qualified cells called fibroblasts. However, through the ageing process number of such collagen producing cells happens to decrease and accordingly the supporting structure of the skin becomes weaker. This is the main cause of wrinkles and especially in the middle one over third part of the face.
The fullness seems to lessen, loss of soft tissue starts and the skin becomes thinner with the ageing. The aesthetic practices applied on face in fact only correct the appearance but not the problems in origin. Thus, the root cell transplantation is the case. The root cells are able to transform themselves to the type of the cell needed at the moment.
Several filling materials are used up to now for the solution of this problem. However these had many side effects and also their time of effect was quite short. The newly developed “Fibroblast Injection to the Otolog Culture”, i.e. the FIBROGELL technique, has resolved both concerns. The application has been approved by FDA, its results have been examined to be successful and is being used common wide.
I perform this application in İzmir for a certain time. The fibroblast and fibrotherapy are important practices of recently very popular root cell applications, aiming to protect the youth.
Application: A small piece is taken from a part of the body of the patient, which is not exposed to sun damages intensely and preferably back of the ear, and such specimen of skin is processed to decompose its fibroblast cells. These cells are proliferated for 3 weeks under special conditions.
The taking of the piece is performed by an incision of couple of millimeters. It is a procedure of about 5-10 minutes. We perform local anesthesia to the patient during the incision and obtain a very small piece of skin. Following, we close the area with a small bandage. The patient may turn to its normal life. He/she may take shower, make sports and work. No redness or purple spots are seen.
The proliferated cells are injected, in a very frequently used filling material called hyaluronic acid, to the patient at the end of the 3rd week using a small injector. The material can be applied to all the face skin and area however provided to be more concentrated on the areas with more wrinkles. The injected hyaluronic acid performs early and medium term filling effects; the fibroblast cells however will start to increase the collagen synthesis after two months which is the time the biological clock starts to run backwards. This means an improvement by time, filling of the wrinkles and, the most importantly, prevention of the new wrinkles to come. Thus, it may be called as a vaccination of youth that pauses the running of time.
This method is used for filling the deepened lines and spaces on face. We fill the deep lines with our cells that produce organic and alive substances, i.e. these cells start to produce filling material. In other words, we gift a living repairing material to your face.
Fibrotherapy: The second method is defined as fibrotherapy in common. The factory cells are injected to all parts of the face under this method. Thus, we increase the self-renewal capacity of the skin.
May these methods be alternatives to the aesthetic operations?
These two methods may not be alternatives to the surgical procedures. They can be used for middle aged, 35-50 patients. In case there exists very deep lines in certain parts of the face, we prefer to fill these lines under these methods. This makes the skin thicker and also increases the production of collagen. That is to say we produce the young cells in respective parts. Besides the filling of the lines, an improvement by time will happen and the future wrinkles will be prevented. This may be called as a sort of vaccination of youth that pauses the running of time.
Recell for Burns: The face and body pigment shortages are treated with the cell spray method called Recell. The acute burn zones are treated with the cells that have been taken from other parts of the body, transformed to spray form. Thus, the skin cells are renewed. The pigment cells, which give the color to the skin, are proliferated and accordingly the stains on the skin are lessened.
