Treatment for the Hanging Down of the Neck
Neck Aesthetics: The wear of the neck area happens earlier than the face in many persons. My article this week is being written in London where I am now for a congress. I noticed while examining the artifacts in the British Museum that neck and bust (low-cut) zones are always (from the earlier ages) closed with accessories. The persons who come to me generally think that the applications on the neck are lesser than the others. Many different and successful techniques are developed in years regarding the neck. The sharpness of the chin makes it seem more young and active. The skin hanging down in the neck area of teh person requires different treatments depending on the lipid accumulation levels and amounts.
Toxin We apply toxin to the horizontal lines on the neck and band-like image on the sides. This toxin is applied for 4-6 months. A local anesthesia cream is applied before the application and then it takes 5-10 minutes to apply the method. It is particularly successful if caught in the starting period. The toxin makes the chin more apparent. VITAL Dryness is one of the biggest grounds for the early aging of the neck area. Generally, the dryness is the complaint of this thin skin structure which is subjected to the sun heavily. The water and electrolyte retention effects of hyaluronic acid (which we use frequently in the recent years) are increased and accordingly the vital is produced. After the local anesthesia cream is applied, we inject the vital in the skin of this area. It provides moisturizing for the neck area within 6-8 months and stops the aging and keeps it bright and fresh as if a moisturizer had been applied.
Radiofrequency: It may not be applied to the lower part of the neck. The radiofrequency application on the skin increases the fibroplast activity in the dermis and an increase of collagen is provided. An increase is observed in the quality of the skin. LYPOLYSIS If the lipid accumulation level under the chin is not in vast amounts; the injection to such area via 15 days and 2 months periods may obtain lessening in the lipidiosis.
Vaser liposelection: It is a method being applied under local anesthesia for the excessive accumulated lipid tissues under the chin. It is performed with a very small incision through the lower chin/jaw. Its hanging down capacity is lower and accordingly is superior than the liposuction. It does not give any harm to the ligament structure and skin since it only orients to the lipid tissues. It is combined with happy lifting or neck lifting operation for the patients who have a very loose skin.
Happy lifting (Attaching): It is a method we apply for the persons who have a high level of hanging down; for to protect and for to make the image better. It may be applied to the lower neck and under the jaw (chin) with local anesthesia. The special attaching materials are used to hook the hanging down skin and muscle structure. No scars are left since no incision is performed while entering from the rear of the ear. Daily life may be continued in a relatively short period of 3-5 days. It is combined with liposelection method generally if lipid accumulation is present under the chin. The lower chin of the persons with small chin seems fatter. Happy lifting or prostheses may be placed for chin enlargement of some persons and such accumulation may be shown lesser than it is.
Neck lifting: The face separates to three different sections anatomically. The upper face includes the temple, forehead and eyebrows; the applied action then is upper face lifting operation. The middle face includes the cheeks and upper lips; the applied action then is middle face lifting operation. The lower face includes the lower chin and neck; the applied action then is lower face or neck lifting operation. Each part may be subject to separate surgical implementations or all together. Neck lifting operation is generally performed together with the middle face lifting operation. The operation incision performed in the neck lifting starts from behind of the wall and extends towards the hairy skin. The neck skin and muscles are freed and pulled upwards. Thus, the hang downs and wrinkles on the neck are removed, the angle of the jaw becomes apparent and a strain view of neck is obtained. Since the incision is left behind the ear, no visible scars are left. Neck lifting operation is generally a part of the face lifting operation. However may be performed individually when necessary. The operation is directed depending on the situation of the neck.
Lifting at the rear of the ear is performed for the folding and wrinkles. If there is lower chin lipidiosis, the liposelection is performed and the respective lipids may be taken with an incision through the lower part of the chin. The tensing bands are cut and shortened for to lift the loosen neck tissues. The operation is performed under total anesthesia or sedation anesthesia. One-two weeks of recovery period shall be expected.
