Vaser Liposculpturing (Liposelection)

A new alternative has come for the traditional liposuction method: Vaser liposculpturing. For removing the lipid, which may not be thrown out via diet and sports, from the body; I started to apply the vaser liposelection method in İzmir. This method is being used in 350 centers in USA and it has been approved by the Federal Drugs Administration (FDA) of USA.

I have for the first time started to perform vaser liposculpturing method in İzmir which produces lesser damages and does not include side effects, such as pain, swollen condition and purpleness, when compared to the classical methods. This method, also known as vaser liposelection, has been started to be performed newly in Turkey.

This application includes the tearing, by using advanced surgery technique, and removing of the lipid tissues. This is called “liposelection” as replacing the liposuction in which lipid tissues are suctioned. This is because the word “selection” means selecting the targeted tissue; which indeed a machine selects the specific lipid tissues. The lipids are taken with vacuum in liposuction method and accordingly supporting tissues are partially harmed. This new method in turn eliminates such damage. And since the damage is removed, the method gathers the skin much more effectively, prevents the hanging and leaves the operation zone in a much more proper condition.

Vaser: This a very special tool in the form of a set. This tool melts down the lipid within the body. This means the lipid turns to be like olive oil, a kind of cream form. For to remove and destroy the lipid tissues, this method combines a new patented technology and advanced surgical techniques and is indeed the favorite of all the women in the world. Under this method, without any diet program and without a need for any physical exercise, the unwanted lipid tissues may taken from any part of the body requiring lifting such as arms, legs, neck, breasts, knees, hips and dorsal side. Vaser uses ultrasound energy technology and tears the lipid tissues by hitting with sound waves transformed through the corrugated shaft design and, following, vacuums these torn tissues with its special channel system. While this action is being performed, no single damage is made to the blood vessels and nerves. The patients particularly prefer miraculous vaser liposelection since it prevents hurting and post-operative purple spots. The doctors have the advantage of operating on much more thinner and delicate zones, such as chin, neck, arms, thanks to vaser using Liposelection Method.

Lesser edema The carried out scientific researches have shown that liposelection had caused lesser edema, pain and purple spots on the patients. This method is applicable on any part of the body. Thanks to this method, and particularly in breast narrowing operations, no open surgery is needed. This may also be used in men’s problem of breast fattening. Also, the unwanted lipid tissues are effectively taken from abdominal zone, dorsal side, hips, belly, neck, lower part of chin and legs.

Shorter recovery period The patients may turn back to their daily activities in a shorter period since the method consists of a more refined action. Another characteristic of the method is its being “ultraselective” i.e. sound identification of lipid tissues. A softer recovery is accomplished thanks to this advantage.

Safety: It is safe at the utmost level. The most important characteristic of this operation is that it gives no harm to the surrounding tissue of nerves, blood vessels and bond structure. It may be applied to any part of body, even on face, since has very few medical complications. Local anesthesia is applied, thus, the risks of total anesthesia do not exist. Since the lipid is liquefied via ultrasound, it becomes possible to take homogenous fat tissues. No suture is needed since operation is performed with very thin cannulas and thus no stitch scars are left after the operation. However, depending on the zone of operation, a trace in size of a spot may be left. Post-operative recovery is fast and easy since sensitive cannulas which do not harm tissues and veins/vessels are used.

How? The zone, from which lipid will be taken, and the amount, of lipid to be taken, shall be determined. For the easy removal of the lipid, a melting liquid including local anesthesia is injected and then the ultrasound liquefied lipid is vacuumed with thin cannulas and syringe.

Repeating lipid formation on the operation zone: There are certain number of fat cells in the body. Gaining weight does not depend on the increase of the number of these cells, but on their volumetric extension. For instance, if we take 70 of 100 fatty cells with Vaser Liposculpturing operation then the leaving number of 30 cells may not increase to 31. In case of re-growth of fat, these 30 cells may increase in volumetric means however by no means create an effect as of volumetric increase of 100 cells. Thus, once lipid is removed from the zone, never the same rate of fattening may happen in that zone again.

Pre-Operation: Do not consume Aspirin and Vitamin E in two weeks period to the operation date. Do not apply any sort of cream to the body in the day before the operation.

Post Operation:
* Sports and massage may start after one week. Correct massaging may speed up the recovery period. Be careful for taking the medicine without any delay/interruption. You may take your first warm shower after two days from the operation. You will wear, depending on the zone of operation, a varicose sock or a special corset for one to three weeks.

The Differences Between the Vaser Liposculpturing and Liposuction

You might have heard negative comments about the liposuction applied under former technology. Vaser Liposculpturing, which is a more advanced and safe method, differs from the Liposuction as follows: local anesthesia is preferred unless the zone is very large. * The lipid is taken with small cannulas in vaser liposculpturing implying a very small pressure. Thus, the surrounding tissue is not harmed and wavy irregularities during the recovery period are minimized. Liposuction uses greater cannulas. Since the lipid is vacuumed with a greater pressure, the surrounding tissue is harmed by the tearing action and a wavy skin image possibly happens. On the other hand, you may walk to your home just after the operation in Vaser Liposculpturing. The patient shall wear a not too tight sock or corset for one-three weeks in Vaser Liposculpturing. In Liposuction, a special corset must be worn for three-four weeks. The edema is lost in four to six weeks is Vaser Liposculpturing.

* The edema will be lost in a couple of months in Liposuction. Vaser Liposculpturing is a more soft and functional operation where better protects the tissues and the vessels. The tissues are under great pressures of lipid vacuuming in liposuction, and thus they may get harmed or bleed. With this improved technology however, it is now easier to get rid of localized lipid masses.
